This is a clever invention by Ranger Industries. It is an ink
that has been formulated to repel water based dye inks when stamped on glossy
papers. You simply stamp it on the paper and let it dry. Then you can overstamp
on top with a waterbased ink. Wherever the Resist was stamped it will repel
the ink!
Here is what the back of the pad says: "To create a quick
and easy resist, stamp, stencil or texturize Clear Resist on gloss paper. Quick
dry Resist with a heat tool. When dry, brayer over it...or paint over it with
water based markers. Watch the color(s) beneath the Clear Resist "pop out"
and appear to be printed over the top layer of ink."
